Who manufactures GroVia?

Founded by Kim Ormsby, mother of 4, the company quickly outgrew her laundry room. Many of GroVia's items are now manufactured in China, following strict compliance agreements that allow for Fair Labor/Fair Wages.

What is the GroVia Diapering System?

GroVia is a modern, one-size diapering system. Its unique, waterproof shell and organic cotton soaker pad minimizes waste and cost. When the soaker pad is wet, simply replace with a fresh, dry one!

How does GroVia work?

GroVia is designed so that the outer shells may be used for multiple diaper changes. If the soaker pad is wet, simply snap in a fresh one and you are ready to go. If the shell is wet, allow it to air dry and use for the next diaper change. When your GroVia Shell is soiled or very saturated, start fresh with a new GroVia Shell.

How much do I need?

Most GroVia System users will find that using 2-4 GroVia shells are enough per day, although newborn babies may need more. If you are using GroVia as your exclusive diapering system, we recommend a minimum of 12-14 shells and about 36 soaker pads to allow for adequate stash rotation. Having less will mean more wear on the diapers.

How does the one-size feature on my GroVia work?

GroVia will fit MOST babies from 8-35 lbs. The GroVia Shell features 3 sets of rise snaps that adjust to fit your baby. Their uniqu one-size Organic Soaker Pad fits from 8-35 lbs as well.

  1. Newborn/Small Infant Setting: Snap your GroVia Shell rise snaps on the lowest setting. Snap your soaker pad into the shell and simply flip the front of the soaker pad in towards baby. Fasten diaper on baby.
  2. Infant Setting: Snap your GroVia Shell rise snaps on the middle setting. Snap your soaker pad into the shell. Tuck the front of your soaker pad down, while pulling the front panel up and fasten on baby.
  3. Toddler Setting: Leave your GroVia Shell rise snaps unsnapped. Snap your soaker pad into the shell and fasten on baby.

How to Care for your GroVia Diapering System?

First and foremost, it is important to wash (using HOT water) and dry your Organic Cotton Soaker Pads at least 3-5 times prior to use. They will not be fully absorbent for up to 10 washes.

Laundry Day:

  • Diapers should be stored in a dry pail, no soaking. Do not let soiled diapers sit for more than 2 days between laundry loads.
  • Your GroVia Shell and Soaker Pads can be washed together on warm with 1/2 the recommended amount of detergent or the recommended amount of any of our cloth diaper-friendly detergents.
  • A second rinse will leave your diapers squeaky clean.
  • While your GroVia Shells can be tumbled dry, we HIGHLY recommend line drying your shells. They will dry in less than two hours and will stay nice longer.
  • GroVia Organic Soaker Pads can be tumbled dried.

Whiteners, bleach, vinegar, enzyme cleaners and fabric softeners are not your diaper's friends and will VOID all warranties.

How to avoid leaks with your GroVia System?

  1. First and foremost your GroVia Soaker Pads must be washed and dried on HOT 3-5 times prior to use. Keep in mind that they will NOT reach their maximum absorbency for up to 10 washes.
  2. GroVia's Organic Cotton Soaker Pads while very absorbent, do not contain SAP (super absorbent polymer) gels that make disposable diapers hold ridiculous amounts of liquid. This means you should plan on changing baby every two hours.
  3. For naps, nights, car trips, and old babies, we highly recommend adding a GroVia Booster or Hemp Insert to increase absorbency without adding much bulk.
  4. Refrain from using petroleum based diaper balms as this coats your Organic Cotton Soaker Pads, affecting their ability to absorb liquid. A good alternative is Magic Stick.

How do I remove stains?

Sunshine is your diapers' best friend! To sun your diapers:

  • We recommend sunning your diapers 1-2 times per month.
  • Wash your diapers as you normally would.
  • While WET, find a sunny spot to lay your diapers, inside up!
  • All them to "sunbathe" 2-3 hours.
  • If you live in an extremely hot climate, only allow your diapers to sun for 1 hour at a time. Very high temperatures can melt elastic.

What is the GroVia Warranty?

When GroVia products have been properly cared for, GroVia warrants them for up to one year from the date of purchase. The GroVia Guarantee includes: the snaps, lining, elastic, and waterproofing.

The GroVia Guarantee is extended to the original owner ONLY and you must provide proof of purchase. As an Enkore Kids on-line customer we'll be able to provide you the proof you need. As an in-store customer, if you chose to give us your name when you purchased, we can help you as well.

The warranty will be void if you have done any of the following:

  • Washed your GroVia Shells in hot water with temperatures over 130F. In general "hot" water is 130F or above. Warm water is between 110F and 90F. Cold water is generally between 80F-60F.
  • Used any detergent containing additives such as enzymes, brighteners, dyes, bleach or any whiteners, perfumes, or oils.
  • Used any diaper rash creams that are petroleum based.

This warranty does not cover fit and sizing, leaking, diaper odor or normal wear and tear.

How do I make a Warranty Claim?

If you purchased from Enkore Kids and your problem is within the first 30 days, contact us first, as your purchase is covered by our Cloth Diaper 30 Day Satisfaction Guarantee.

To make a warranty claim through GroVia, please fill out their Shipping & Return form and return the defective product for full examination. The diapers must be clean, dry, and stink-free. If the diapers are unclean, severely stained or odorous, GroVia will send them back to you at your expense. If, after examination, they find they do have a defect, they will repair or replace the product at their discretion.
