Questions? Read below...

My dryer balls have pills on them and are fuzzy! What do I do?

It's OK for your dryer balls to have pills. Since they are wool, this will happen. You can choose to shave them with a sweater shaver or do nothing. Either way is fine!

How do dryer balls work?

They work by circulating air around your clothing and by absorbing excess moisture. That will cut your drying time by up to 50%! Now that does depend on how many you use (I recommend at least 6) and load size.

How many dryer balls do I need?

We recommend a minimum of 4 dryer balls for a small load of cloth diapers, however 6 to 8 is ideal for full loads. Plus, if you're like me - you don't necessarily have time to pick out the dryer balls that get caught up in the clothing before starting the next load so it's always nice to have a bit more than you need so each full load always has at least 6. We sell dyer balls in sets of 2, 3, 4, and 6 with the most cost savings for you when you purchase in sets of 6.

How long will dryer balls last?

They last for years! Just be careful of velcro.

I notice your dryer balls are now colored. Are they dyed?

No, they are still undyed, 100% virgin wool. You'll receive a variety of color(s) that I have represented in the pictures on my website. There are 8 different colors but are all browns, ivory, grays and silvers.

Wool makes me itchy.

Because the wool is felted, it won't leave lots of wool lint on your clothing to make you itch.

I like my dryer sheets, they make my clothes smell good. Why switch to dryer balls?

Do you know what is in your fabric softener and dryer sheets?? Take a look at this list:

  • Benzyl acetate: Linked to pancreatic cancer.
  • Benzyl Alcohol: Upper respiratory tract irritant.
  • Ethanol: On the EPA’s Hazardous Waste list and can cause central nervous system disorders.
  • Limonene: Suspected Gastrointestinal or Liver Toxicant, Immunotoxicant, Kidney Toxicant, Neurotoxicant, Respiratory Toxicant, and Skin or Sense Organ Toxicant.
  • A-Terpineol: Can cause respiratory problems, including fatal edema, and central nervous system damage.
  • Ethyl Acetate: A narcotic on the EPA’s Hazardous Waste list.
  • Camphor: Causes central nervous system disorders.
  • Chloroform: Neurotoxic, anesthetic and carcinogenic.
  • Linalool: A narcotic that causes central nervous system disorders.
  • Pentane: A chemical known to be harmful if inhaled.

To hide the chemical smell, companies load dryer sheets full of chemical fragrances, which are potentially carcinogenic.
